How to lose excess pounds safely?

I am a 46 year old man who weighed 200 at 5′8′. I was feeling so lethargic and sluggish. The program was easy to follow and after the first day or two of feeling a little tough, suddenly, my skin looked clearer and less dry. My ankles were normal by day four and I didn’t have any digestive problems at all. I lost 8 lbs. and felt more energetic

Wonder which weight-loss program is this? May be whatever this is, the important part is how you are dealing with it! Weight loss is a very deceptive and confusing topic. There are many right ways and wrong (unhealthy) ways to lose weight. So we have to make sure we put all efforts to lose weight, making it less tricky. I know you are not happy with your weight and is desperate to lose weight. Many of us want to lose weight but they aren’t sure how to do that and as a result, most of them are better off staying where they are. Now this is not the solution. We will have to found the ways to lose extra pounds from our body, of the basis of safest mode. So, how to proceed? What should we do to control our weight? Here are the simple and cool ways how you can lose weight safely:

  1. Weight Management training is indispensable weapon for weight loss. It’s a combination of Weight-resistance program and Exercise. You should always make it a note that you follow the exercise regularly without any failures. Weight Management training will help you in eliminating the element of fat from your body and help building strong and lean muscles. Weight-resistance program and Exercise will help you to improve the metabolism in your body and keep you fit and healthy.
  2. Don’t confuse yourself with fats and muscles. Weight loss is all about reducing fats from your body and not muscles. So don’t starve yourself. Divide your meals and eat less calorie food frequently. Initially start small. Small changes are quite easier to manage than the bigger ones. Once you start, get habituated and then take long term steps introducing healthier foods and exercise into your life. Try reducing the size of the portions you eat.
  3. Drink lots of water. Give up all kinds of soft drinks, hard drinks, sugar-free drinks and sodas for a month. Live on water because water does wonders. Switch to whole to nonfat or low-fat milk is also a good idea. There are a lot of chemical processes that go on in your body that require water. Water helps process the food in our body and break down the fats and vanish them along helping steadily to lose weight. When you drink plenty of water, you don’t feel hungry. This is because water makes you feel ‘fuller’ and restrain your from ‘emotional hunger’. So, if you don’t drink water properly, then you are definitely inviting some troubles about of weight loss.
  4. Don’t be a victim of ‘Emotional eating’. Stop eating when you are full. Don’t let your lip lick when you see a smacking food. Just avoid it..Yeah avoid it..for the sake of your weight. Be attentive when you eat and stop eating when you are full. Don’t let your emotional feelings to get on top of you. The researchers say that ‘we feel hungrier when we are sad, bored and frustrated!’ So don’t let that happen with you. Change your un healthy habits.

So, the bottom line is, if you want to lose weight, you have to do it on your own and this is one of your test of personality. You are not going to lose weigh by any magic or else will do that for you. Neither losing weight will make you a better person that you are now. It’s all about staying healthy and looking good throughout the life.

Is being Overweight Dangerous and Harmful?

Most likely we know that excess weight is harmful but most likely, not all of us know how can overweight be hazardous for our health. According to these overweight and obesity statistics more than 160 million Americans are almost overweight or obese. We all probably know that overweight is a very serious problem and if this is not sorted out, this can lead to epidemic by 2012.

People are trying all sorts of stuffs like dietary plans, weight-loss program, weight-loss pills, Gyms, Exercises, and Weight Resistance programs. They are in search of Right plans to lose weight and rightly so…they must! Overweight is becoming common in children and some efforts have to be planned and implemented in right order, right now. So, get rid of excess fats from your body to stay fit and healthy. So, if you are carrying extra weight in your body, then please act immediately to lose weight. Here are some diseases that you are putting yourself at risk for if you are carrying a lot of extra pounds:

  1. Heart Diseases- Mostly common in men and children
  2. Heart Attack/Cerebral attack (Stroke) - We are most aware of this. Stroke usually occurs due to overweight and high blood pressure
  3. Cancer- Many of us are probably not aware of cancer due to overweight but it’s a fact
  4. Diabetes- The most common problem due to overweight
  5. Arthritis - Many of us are probably not aware of arthritis due to overweight but it’s a fact

The moral of the story or the Bottom line is we need to lose excess weight from our bodies in order to stay fit and avoid/control these diseases. So, it’s in you hand whether you want to stay fit or clinch with obesity/overweight!

How to lose weight by following Diet?

It’s very important to evaluate whether you need to follow a strict diet to lose weight. Needless to say, none of us would guarantee you will lose weight by following some diet-plans but most of the times it works. The concept on losing weight on strict diet is based on how rightly you evaluate your needs and is able to find the right combination of foods (diet). Determining right diet for your health takes a lot of trail and error. May be it will take some time to tip down your weight but by doing this trail and error, you may find the right ‘cup of tea’ for yourself!

“Should I follow a Diet?” This is the most common question around every nook and corner in your mind before you decide to lose weight by dieting. The most interesting fact about this uncertain question is there is no ‘One word’ or specific answer. You can’t decide anything on the basis of ‘Yes’ or ‘No’! So it becomes very difficult for you to choose your type. ‘Which one will work for me? Whether it will work for you at all?’ You will probably be surrounded by uncertainties and try all sorts of permutation and combinations to select the ‘right combination of foods’ for effective weight loss! Which way will work for you? You may not know until you try.

Here are few points you should realize before selecting a diet plan to lose weight:

  1. How fat are you? Do you really need a diet to follow on? Find satisfactory answers for these questions first. If you are able to justify reasons, then move on with your thoughts to lose weight by following a strict diet. Unless you have some small amounts of weight to lose, I will suggest you to consult doctors, health experts or nutritionists and follow a healthful, doctor-approved diet for weight loss. This is crucial.
  2. Would you be able to sacrifice for the sake of your weight? You also have to take human foible (weaknesses) into account. If you are mentally not strong enough to bear the idea of giving up mutton, pork, butter, choose and try to eat grains, green vegetables, then just forget the idea of ‘lose weight by following Diet’. Find whether or not you are the “Dieting” Type! Be honest to yourself. Or it won’t help either way. I hope you understand what I am trying to say!
  3. As mentioned earlier in this article, select the ‘right combination of foods’ for effective weight loss! Most of the times, it takes a lot of trial and error to find the right combination of foods. It may take a couple weeks on any given diet for you to find out if it’s for you or not. So find it and if it’s not, then try another combination.

It’s all about well-thought out strategy about selecting a ‘perfect diet plan’ for you. It’s very important you to maintain the food and nutrition value for your body. Don’t let your body to go into ’starvation mode’. Enjoy what you do and what you eat.
