Achieving weight loss through Oxygen Therapy
Aug 21, 2008
Chemical composition of the body reveals a straightforward theory. Our body comprises hydrogen, carbon & oxygen molecules with few other substances stored in the fat cells. Adding some extra oxygen to the body fat breaks it to two theoretically established substances. These substances are:
- Hydrogen & oxygen molecules (H2O – Water)
- Carbon & oxygen molecules (C20 – Carbon dioxide)
Water penetrates through the bloodstream and excretes via urination while passing through the kidneys. Carbon dioxide is excreted through respiration.
Medicine practitioners these days use oxygen or ozone therapy to instill major health benefits to patients. This therapy is quite popular in USA, UK, Canada and other countries. Interesting, this therapy is banned in some countries and certain sections of the traditional medical profession absolutely condemn it. But evidence show that this therapy provides greater benefits without causing any side effect as is usually found in patent drugs.
Oxygen therapy is administered either through a facial mask that is attached to an oxygen tank or through diluted hydrogen peroxide administered via intravenous drip.
Given the chemical composition of the body fat, now the pertinent question surfaces as to how it helps in weight loss? Though doctors do not provide a conclusive statement on oxygen being a helping tool in weight loss endeavor, many people support the theory. A statement that is so sound theoretically should hold sufficient volume in practicality as well. Now if that is not achieved then it indicates there is something missing and finding the ‘missing element’ is crucial to the weight loss endeavor.
People swear by breathing techniques in realizing their health benefits. These breathing techniques are nothing but inhaling of oxygen and exhaling of carbon dioxide. The breathing techniques maximize the expulsion of carbon dioxide from our bodies that is created when the oxygen dissolves the body fat.
Besides adding these breathing techniques into our daily routine has no side effects, even if the desired results are not obtained. So go ahead and experiment this oxygen theory to testify if it has any weight loss benefits.

It is necessary to work, if not from inclination, at least from despair. Everything considered, work is less boring than amusing oneself.
