Are you putting on weight in an effort to lose it? Are you worried about this abnormal behavior and asking yourself “What is wrong with me? I am putting all sorts of efforts to cut off fat but why it is not working for me?” But let me tell you that there is no doubt regarding your efforts of losing fat, but are you sure you know the correct mechanism of losing fat? My mother was 45 years of age two years back and before she retired from her work, she led a vigorous life. After her retirement she exercised regularly and used to spend much of the time pursuing outdoor activities. Around the time she turned 46, though, her slim figure gradually began to fill out. In no time, the pounds started to creep on. As her dress kept rising, my mother tried to lose weight by cutting fat out of her diet. She tried low-fats and even non-fats diets. Moreover, she eliminated most of the fats from her meal. Initially this method worked as she lost some weight, but she immediately gained it back with some high-interest. She had no clue whatsoever.

- Eat moderate amounts of protein and unsaturated fats to lose weight and stay hungry at the same time.
- Eat less processed carbohydrates like whole-grain breads, whole-wheat, pasta, beans, and lots of non-starchy fruits and vegetables.
- Avoid high-refined carbohydrates like white-bread, sweets (that contains sugar) and rice.
Much to my mom’s surprise, she lost 6 kilos and that too in a short span of time. So is it hard? Nope, it’s very easy and painless. Like many of us believe that low-fat diet was the only way to lose weight. But let me tell you there are both good and bad fats and on addition, scientist discovered that there are good and bad Carbohydrates too. So while losing weight you should consider both the above mentioned fats and carbohydrates. Intake of carbohydrates replacing fats may not prove beneficial to you in shedding weight.
