Though some of these implications may be alarming enough, starting all over again with a modified diet pattern, you can avoid drastic implications.
A diet high in protein and less in carbohydrates increases the chances of osteoporosis especially if you are a woman. Calcium is needed to neutralize the acids required to digest high amount of protein in the body and for this your body extracts the required calcium from your bones. This increases the chances of osteoporosis.
According to a finding by the American Institute for Cancer Research, the risk of acquiring different kind of cancers increases if you take a low-carb diet. Exclusion of fruits, vegetables, and whole grain from your daily diet can lead to carbohydrate deficiency.
Another international study that analyzed associated factors affecting breast cancer concluded that the chances are more in countries having higher fat consumption. A low carbohydrate diet actually tunes your body to take in high fats. It is better to go in for a high-fiber diet to minimize the risk of breast cancer. The high consumption of saturated fats can expose you to an even bigger risk that is of a heart disease or a stroke because of higher LDL cholesterol.
