I totally agree with the writer in this blog post. The graph that he has used shows that very few people in America walk regularly, and that’s why the highest number of overweight people are in America. According to this graphic, more than 30% Americans are obese and just around 5% walk, cycle, or use the public transit to complete various errands.
Most European countries have less obese people because people walk more there. Walking is a natural exercise and it keeps your body healthy. If you can incorporate walking into your day-to-day activities you don’t even have to put in extra effort to keep yourself fit and slim. It is so sad that people walk so less in America, I don’t know whether they are always in a great hurry or they are simply lazy. Driving around all the time in your vehicle is not only unhealthy it also harms your an environment and puts strain on scarce natural resources.
