Yoga is very advantageous for weight loss. Before I get in to the details, let me guide you about Yoga, in short. Yoga is an Indian term (Sanskrit) and is originated in India. Yoga can be summarized as spiritual practices originated and evolved in India. Main divisions of Yoga include Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Raja Yoga. The main advantage of yoga is to lose body weight. Even if you are underweight, yoga helps the malnutrition’s, to increase the weight. But here we are dealing with weight-loss. So with these forms (divisions of Yoga), we can easily decrease fats from our body, reduce over weight and stay fit and healthy the entire life.

How Yoga can help Weight-loss?

Mostly the pregnant-women, the thyroid patients suffer from obese or over-weight. So, Yoga is the effective medicine to get those extra pounds off. Yoga can help weight-loss in the following ways:

  1. There are few yoga asanas that encourages the lethargic glands to improve the hormonal discharges. Like I mentioned thyroid gland has a large impact on increase in body weight. Yoga induces fat metabolism and help to enhance the weight loss and build up strong lean muscles. It ensures quick weight-loss by time and you feel much more energetic.
  2. Deep breathing is necessary when you are doing yoga postures. This enhances the oxygen intake to the body cells containing the fat cells. With more oxygen intake in the fat cells, the fat breaks up, helping you to reduce weight within few weeks.
  3. Researchers have found that we tend to eat more when we are sad, depressed and anxious. Yogas help us to reduce the level of anxiety thus helping us to eat less. This is one of the great features of yoga in weight-loss activity. It just acts both as prevention and stress-busters.
  4. Yoga also helps you to eat shorten the intervals of meals that you take. Yogic asanas renders amazing results here. You feel less hungry at times than ever. So, no weight-gain due to over eating.

Yoga is very important for each of us. Not only for the tempted weight losers, but for also normal weighted person. Yogas, if done and executed correctly, can prove as indispensable act in one’s life to stay fit and ideal-weighted.
